SCHOOLUNIFORMS

School uniforms are different for every school and are different colours. Boys usually wear
dark trousers and girls usually wear skirts. Both boys and girls wear a light-coloured shirt,
sometimes a jacket and a tie in the school’s colours.

In Europe, the country with the most schools where students wear uniforms is the UK. In
the USA, students didn’t use to wear uniforms. But in the 1990s many schools asked their
students to start wearing them. This wasn’t very popular with students. But many people say
that uniforms help students feel part of a team and be proud of their school. What do you
think?

I hate my uniform. I always run home and
change my clothes. I like my jeans and
T-shirts. They are more comfortable.
