Two months ago, Mark wanted

up in front of him as a shield and the
rubbish stuck to it because there was paint 25
on it. Later, when he finished painting his
bedroom, he decided to take the rubbish –
and the canvas – out. At that moment,
Mr Gill was passing by. When he saw the canvas,
he stopped Mark and started shouting at him. ‘What 30
are you doing? Don’t destroy that masterpiece!
It’s perfect for my exhibition of new, young artists!’

Mark held the €10,000 cheque and thought:
‘Maybe I’ll join an art class now and do this for a
