BATTERIES, MEDICINE AND OIL
Don’t throw these things in the rubbish bin! If you throw them in
rubbish bins, the chemicals in them will pollute the soil, the rivers and
the sea. You must throw them away in special recycling bins or take
them to recycling factories.
CRAYONS
Do you like colouring but can’t stand broken
or very small crayons? Well, if you send them
to crayon factories, they will use them to make
new crayons. Sometimes, they give them to
schools, hospitals or organisations for children. SHOES
Don’t throw your old trainers away! You can
recycle them. Some sports companies can use the
material to make new shoes or T-shirts and shorts.
They can even make sports ields all over the
world!

B. Use a large piece of card for your poster. Write 'Interesting Facts about Recycling' and stick the
pictures you have found on the card. Use the information you have found and write a few things
about recycling.
C. Present your poster to the class.
