We all know that it’s really important to take care of our body. When we do that, we
don’t just feel healthier, we feel happier too.

Junk food—like crisps or snacks with a lot of sugar in them—is yummy, right?
Although eating a little of this kind of food isn’t always bad, too much of it can make
us feel tired. One of the best things we can do for our health is to eat well. Eating
healthy food like fruit and vegetables every day gives us lots of energy, and that’s
not all! This kind of food is full of vitamins our body needs. These vitamins help our
bones and teeth stay strong, they keep our hair, skin and brain healthy and they can
also help us avoid getting ill.

These days, many people have very busy lives and they can’t always ind the time
to exercise. However, being active is just as important as eating healthily. In fact, a
thirty-minute workout most days of the week is enough to keep us it and healthy.
We can take part in team sports or do individual sports—a sport or activity we do
alone—like jogging. There are many other activities we can do to add more exercise
to our lives too! Walking or cycling to school or work, instead of taking the bus or
driving, and doing household chores such as hoovering or cleaning the windows are
all great ways to stay active.

Now, let’s not forget sleep! It’s just as important to our health as eating right
and exercising! When we sleep enough, we’re usually in a better mood and can
concentrate more easily at school or at work. When we don’t, the opposite is usually
true. Sleeping helps our body and brain rest. And to be honest, they both get tired
                                       during a busy day!
These are all simple tips for anyone who wants to keep
their body and mind in great shape! Try them!
