My Summer Job

I’ve had a job as a lifeguard since June. I used to dream of becoming a
mechanic and fixing cars, like my dad. However, working as a lifeguard this
summer has changed my mind.
Why did I become a lifeguard? I love swimming, so I thought: why not work
and play at the same time? First, I had to learn first aid and pass some tests.
When I finished, I saw an ad on the Waterland Water Park website.
They needed a lifeguard, so I contacted them and I got the job. At first,
I thought it would be all fun and games, but I was wrong. I must always pay
attention and be ready to act. Someone might be in danger and need my
help! I’ve been here for two months now and I love it. Now I know what
career I want to follow.
