Victoria Falls Victoria Falls is one of the largest waterfalls in the
world. This natural wonder is 1,708 metres wide and
108 metres high. It is located at the place where
Zambia and Zimbabwe meet on the Zambezi River.
David Livingstone was the irst European explorer
who saw the waterfall in 1855. He gave it the name
Victoria Falls. However, locals call it Mosi-oa-Tunya.
This means ‘the smoke that thunders’.

The Space Needle is a tower which opened in Seattle,

farmers found pieces of a clay igure. These
pieces were actually part of a huge army of
around 8,000 life-size soldiers and horses.
The igures were ive to seven metres deep
in the ground. Each soldier is di ferent,
and each one is about two metres tall and
weighs about 270 kilograms. The Terracotta
Army is more than 2,000 years old, and
millions of visitors travel to Xi’an to see it
every year.
