A. Listen and read. Who was Zachary Hicks?

Captain James Cook was a famous explorer.
He was born in England in 1728. In 1768, he went on his irst
voyage to the South Seas. On 19th April 1770, he reached and
explored the east coast of Australia. Cook named the place he
reached irst Point Hicks, after one of his sailors.
